July 2012 - President's Message

Dear ISACA® Kettle Moraine members, colleagues, and friends,

This is my first newsletter to everyone, so I first want to start by thanking Lynn Milner for all of her work as last year’s President. Lynn will continue to be involved with the board, and I am grateful that we still have the benefit of her experience. With her, we set a number of records for the chapter last year, and the current board is working to continue to build on that momentum.

ISACA Kettle Moraine 2012 – 2013 Board

While summer is our off-season for events, the 2012 – 2013 board is working on preparing the events for this year. There are some familiar names and faces and some new board members as well. Below is a list of the current board members, along with their e-mail addresses. I want to thank all of them for volunteering their time and effort. If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or you would like to volunteer to help out, feel free to contact me or any of the other board members. We are also always looking for ideas for event topics and speakers.

Fall Schedule of Events

As I mentioned above, we are working on identifying topics and speakers for this fall’s events. In the meantime, I wanted to pass along a list of dates and times for our fall events so you can go ahead and reserve them on your calendar. As we complete the speaker identification process and get closer to the dates, we will send out event notices with details on the topics. We are also planning on sending out a survey to the chapter members later this summer to gather ideas on what topics are of interest and value to you.

  • September 12, 2012 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Our monthly events will continue to be at the BMO Training Institute at 401 N. Executive Dr. in Brookfield.

Web Site

As Lynn mentioned in the May newsletter, our web site was recognized by ISACA International with a Gold Level award. Thanks again to Rick Janezic for all of his hard work on the site over the past two years. For this coming year, we are working on some additional content and features, along with an increased social media presence. Check back to the site regularly for new information and details, including checking for new posts to our Job Board.
