Dear ISACA® Kettle Moraine members, colleagues, and friends,

We had record attendance at our February Business Continuity Management event, the December 2011 certification exam results were sent out, we delivered an overview on the long awaited, much anticipated BMIS framework, and we hit a record number of 405 members! Call for Nominations

Even though the calendar year is still new, there are some positions on the current chapter board that are coming to an end of their term. We are now accepting nominations for the board position of Chapter Vice President / President Elect. This position as described, in our Chapter By Laws, serves a two-year term, one year as Vice President and a second year as President. If you would like to nominate yourself or a colleague, please forward the name(s) (with permission of course) and a short biography to ISACA-KM President for inclusion in our upcoming elections in April. The deadline is April 16th.

Volunteer Appreciation

The unsung heroes of ISACA are those who volunteer their time, talent, and tutelage by serving on an ISACA board or committee at the international level. A special thank you goes out to the following chapter members for their dedication:

  • Jonathan D. Sternberg (CISA, CISM, CRISC and too many others certs to mention) serves not only as our Chapter Certifications Director but is also on the CISM Test Enhancement Subcommittee. In past years, Jon also served as our Chapter Treasurer and has been an active and valuable asset to ISACA at many levels. Thank you Jon for your enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Anup Singh serves on various committees and initiatives, including committees to review CISA and CISM manuals and to review practice questions for CISA and CISM certifications. "Volunteering at ISACA is a very rewarding activity, at least for me, where the opportunity to interact with global industry peers from various verticals is so productive and enriching."

If you are interested in volunteering, the general information page for volunteering at ISACA can be found at Join-a-Committee. The requirements to qualify are straightforward.

Member Benefits

Every year, we are invoiced with the annual membership renewal notices, and while we reluctantly "pay the piper," we may be asking ourselves: What's—In—It—For—Me? I used to have the same perception until I really started tapping into ISACAs resources and getting a return on my investment. Whether you are a prospective member, new member, or even platinum—level member, you may not be aware of the constantly expanding list of ISACA benefits and resources to use them to advantage. Here are just a few:

  • ISACA members can earn over 60 FREE CPE credits per year.
  • Members receive discounts for CISA, CISM, CGEIT, and CRISC exam study aids, registration, and maintenance.
